Early 1900, Eugen Langen constructed the worldwide known single suspension track train-system, built by MAN. The turning station Vohwinkel is terminal stop and also service depot.
The always heavily used turning track had to be rebuilt in 2005. The 180° turning rail was embedded in DIAMANT MM 1018 in order to achieve a 100% gap closure between rail and support.
Since then, the suspension train has been running smoothly with no wear in the most important track partition.
