REPAIR OF A FACE PLATE with
SIEMENS KWU, MUEHLHEIM, Germany
The slideways of the face plate (dia. of 8m/24feet)) were defective and had to be renewed. instead of rebuilding the whole plate, SIEMENS decided for a renewal of the slideways using the wearless mouldable low friction wayliner DIAMANT moglice.
For this, the old wayliner was entierely removed on a CNC lathe, cleaned and coated by pouring with DIAMANT moglice FL/P with final machining afterwards.
