3D-printed components with thin walls often leak or absorb water over time. Our sealing with dichtol provides an effective seal against water and other liquids to ensure longevity and functionality.
UV radiation shortens the service life of 3D-printed components, makes materials brittle, causes colors to fade and leads to yellowing. Our sealing with dichtol protects against UV exposure and extends the service life of components in outdoor applications.
Gas-tightness of 3D-printed components is often difficult to achieve due to residual porosity and the printing parameters. Our sealing with dichtol reliably closes all pores and ensures complete gas-tightness.
With a chemically resistant sealant, the durability and resistance of 3D-printed components can be easily and effectively increased, significantly expanding their range of applications.
No problem! Our expert Daniel Flachsenberg will be happy to help you find the perfect solution for your requirements.
Sealing with dichtol is suitable for all common printing processes such as FDM, SLS, SLA and MJF. Plastics, metals and ceramics can be sealed as printing materials.
The sealants can be applied by dipping, spraying or brushing. The most suitable method depends on the size and number of components to be sealed.
Regardless of the application method, we recommend applying the treatment continuously for 5 minutes. Then let the part dry at room temperature for 24 hours – and you’re done.
We have demonstrated drinking water conformity for dichtol AM #2567, which means that no components dissolve out of the sealant when it comes into contact with drinking water. We do not currently have food conformity for any dichtol, as this must always be tested for the entire component. This must therefore be determined separately by the customer for each application.
Our dichtol products have a temperature resistance range of 130 to 300 degrees Celsius. A detailed list can be found in our download section.
Yes. You can easily pour the liquid back into the bottle and reuse it. Please make sure the bottle is securely and completely closed.
No, dichtol is completely safe for flowers and plants. Because it penetrates deep into the pores and dries out, it does not leach into the water and remains permanently effective – no flaking or porosity.
We offer our dichtol products in our online store (for B2B customers) and on Amazon (for B2C customers). dichtol is also available from many other 3D printing suppliers.
