Reliable blowhole repair in high-temperature applications

iron cement is the ideal solution for permanent blowhole repairs up to 1,000°C. The fireproof special putty ensures a stable, heat-resistant bond that withstands extreme temperatures. Thanks to easy handling, quick curing, and high adhesive strength, iron cement accelerates the repair process. Additionally, it is physiologically safe and highly temperature-resistant – perfect for demanding applications in foundry and high-temperature technology.

How is iron cement applied?

Surface Preparation:
The affected areas of the mold are thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt, rust, and other contaminants. This ensures that iron cement has good adhesion to the surface.

Application of iron cement:
iron cement is applied directly to the cleaned blowholes. The putty is evenly spread and worked into the cavities to ensure complete filling.

Curing:
iron cement is left to cure at room temperature. After curing, the putty forms a solid, high-temperature resistant layer that completely seals the blowholes.

Inspection:
After curing, the repaired mold undergoes a quality check to ensure that the blowholes are completely filled and the repair was successful.
