Blowholes and defects that only become visible when castings are machined often result in scrap and cause high material and labor costs. With plasticmetal, the consistency can be adjusted from castable to pasty-trowelable, making it easy to repair defects and prevent components from being scrapped. This saves both working time and costs. Thanks to the high proportion of metallic fillers, further processing is easily possible and the castings remain paintable.
Depending on the metal of the component and whether increased temperature resistance (up to 250°C) is required afterwards, the various powders and resin liquids can be combined as desired.
