When building a new ball dryer for a Swiss pharmaceutical company, the focus was on absolute precision – because safety and functionality are essential in the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients and fine chemicals. After aligning the system with millimetre precision, however, a circumferential gap of up to 28 mm was found between the base frame and the mounting frame. This gap had to be closed before the system could be put into operation – form-fit and force-fit, permanently and reliably.
