Sustainable corrosion protection reimagined: Focus on a bio-based 2K PUR sealer
Thermally sprayed coatings offer excellent corrosion protection, but require a reliable sealant due to their porous structure.
In collaboration with other experts, this sustainable solution for long-lasting sealing has now been developed: A bio-based 2K PUR sealer, specifically designed for the most demanding applications in modern coating systems.
In the latest issue of the trade magazine ‘Spray Bulletin’, we discuss the development of the sealer and how the targeted use of innovative raw materials such as polyols, cross-linking agents and additives can optimise both adhesion and overcoating compatibility.
At the same time, it becomes clear how sustainable approaches are successfully combined with a bio-based content of 34% and high-performance corrosion protection. We also discuss the current state of the art and the underlying materials, and provide a concrete conclusion on the new development.
