As part of a joint research project, DIAMANT and SKZ – Kunststoff-Zentrum Würzburg are working together to develop conductive impregnations for additively manufactured components.
The aim of the research project is to develop an impregnating agent for use in post-processing that can be used to make any 3D-printed component electrically conductive. The current focus is on PA12 and TPU, but the process is fundamentally transferable to all common 3D printing materials.
DIAMANT contributes its many years of expertise in impregnations, infiltrates and sealing for water- and gas-tight 3D-printed components. SKZ complements the project as a leading research, education and testing centre for the plastics industry with comprehensive expertise in materials development and surface technology.
