Even before the start of the “Bundesgartenschau” (BuGa), defects were discovered in the tubular frame of the pergola in Mannheim’s Luisenpark. Chain seams and fillet welds that were not installed in accordance with corrosion protection requirements led to a reduced durability of the load-bearing capacity and stability.
However, due to the ongoing operation of the Federal Horticultural Show, these defects could only be rectified later.
In order to guarantee the sustainable renovation of the pergola, our MM1018® liquid-shim was used in paste form.
