Electrical insulation with dichtol HM sealants protects metallic machine components and thermally sprayed ceramic layers (Al2O3) from the passage of electrical current. Ball bearings, shaft seats or mill housings in assemblies can also be insulated, as can measuring sensors in measurement technology. Components in assemblies can be efficiently separated from each other by DIAMANT insulation coatings in such a way that no voltage jumps over. DIAMANT dichtol HM also reliably provides temperature-resistant insulation between the generator and the component when thermoelectric generators are used to generate energy through heat.
Significant increase in dielectric strength
dichtol HM A2020 is a very low-viscosity, colorless 2-component polymer system with high temperature resistance, good chemical resistance and excellent electrical insulation. The VOC-free product is ideal for sealing thermally sprayed coatings and increases their dielectric strength. dichtol HM A2020 has a very high solids content of 98% and cures at room temperature. Thanks to its very low viscosity, it penetrates perfectly into porous structures. It adheres perfectly to metals, glass, ceramics and many plastics and is the ideal insulation solution for potting electronic parts and components. The material is self-leveling and temperature-resistant up to 250°C.
High chemical resistance to acids and alkalis
dichtol HM 2407 is a specially developed 2-component impregnation system with a high solids content and high chemical resistance to acids and alkalis. With dichtol HM 2407, even warm objects or TS coatings with a surface temperature of up to 120°C can be sealed. The cured product is slightly flexible and can therefore compensate for thermal expansion. dichtol HM is a chemically setting product which should cure at a temperature of 20°C for 20 hours.
