DIAMANT Thermoguss: Efficient repair and optimization of assemblies with high thermal stresses

Mönchengladbach, 12 December 2023 – DIAMANT Thermoguss is the ideal, environmentally friendly solution for repairing and optimizing assemblies that are exposed to extremely high temperatures during operation. Embedding heating elements and thermocouples is just as easy and efficient with the high-temperature resistant filler and casting compound as cementing refractory bricks, casting in resistance wires or repairing foundry products.

Solvent-free 2-component casting compound, temperature-resistant up to 1100°C

The highly heat-resistant filler and casting compound from DIAMANT Polymer GmbH is temperature-resistant up to 1100°C. The 2-component casting compound on an inorganic basis is free from solvents and other hazardous substances in accordance with the REACH regulation. DIAMANT Thermoguss can be mixed and applied independently by the customer. The mixing ratio of the two components can be variably adjusted to suit the specific application and customer requirements.

Mechanical processing and painting after rapid curing

DIAMANT Thermoguss cures without tempering, which takes up to 48 hours depending on the mixing ratio. By tempering at 80°C, curing can take place in just two to three hours. After curing, the thermocast can be mechanically processed, for example it can be sanded very well to level out a subsequent coating.

DIAMANT thermocast has a very low linear expansion of 0.25µm/m and is non-conductive in the temperature range from 20°C to 1,100 °C. The coefficient of thermal expansion is 1.6*10^-6 1/K (between 20°C and 60°C).
