New solution for the pore-deep impregnation of 3D printed components

So können poröse Oberflächen in einem Arbeitsgang imprägniert, versiegelt und veredelt werden.

dichtol AM Hydro dringt tief in additiv gefertigte Werkstücke ein und härtet dort aus. Das hartelastische Hochleistungspolymer sorgt für die dauerhafte, lückenlose Versiegelung und Imprägnierung, so dass keine Flüssigkeiten oder Gase aus Zylindern, Vasen und anderen 3D gedruckten Objekten austreten können.

dichtol AM Hydro was specially developed for additive manufacturing in common 3D printing processes. The high-performance polymer developed by DIAMANT Polymer GmbH is suitable for both filament printing and powder-based manufacturing processes. The solvent-free, water-based 1-component system enables the permanent, seamless sealing and impregnation of workpieces and components made from common materials – in particular PLA, ASA, ABS and polyamide.

While conventional sealers only protect the surface of 3D-printed components, dichtol AM Hydro penetrates all pores, no matter how fine, and hardens there. The hard-elastic polymer anchors itself in the treated part and seals it reliably even at changing temperatures. The treated surface is thus not only sealed, but also impregnated in depth. In addition to surface finishing, the polymer system also improves the basic properties of additively manufactured workpieces, such as the sensitivity of components to dirt or dimensional stability.

Das Polymersystem dichtol AM Hydro lässt sich gleichermaßen einfach streichen, injizieren oder tauchen. Es verschließt zuverlässig Poren bis zu 0,2 Millimeter Durchmesser.

The impregnation of 3D printed products is done in no time at all with the solvent-free, transparent dichtol AM Hydro. It is applied manually, without additional machines or equipment, and is therefore very flexible. When 3D printed objects are immersed in the low-viscosity high-performance polymer, even hard-to-reach areas are reliably sealed gas- and liquid-tight. dichtol AM Hydro is colorless after curing and protects your component. The sealed pores prevent dirt from accumulating on the component, and colored components are given a fantastic brilliance by treatment with dichtol AM Hydro.
