Strategic realignment: DIAMANT Polymer GmbH takes over the product business of SKC Gleittechnik GmbH

Mönchengladbach / January 26, 2026. DIAMANT Polymer GmbH and SKC Gleittechnik GmbH announce a strategic realignment: as part of an asset deal, DIAMANT Polymer GmbH will take over the entire product business of SKC Gleittechnik GmbH. The transition will take place on April 1, 2026.

With this step, both companies are clearly focusing on their core competencies. SKC Gleittechnik GmbH manufactures technical sliding materials that are used to coat guides and sliding surfaces in machines. The company, based in Rödental near Coburg, will continue to exist and will focus exclusively on the material processing of SKC sliding coatings and SKC separation joint coatings in the future. DIAMANT Polymer GmbH, based in Mönchengladbach, has been developing and producing mouldable sliding coatings and separating joint coatings for over 50 years. This gives DIAMANT comprehensive product and application knowledge in precisely those markets that were previously served by SKC Gleittechnik GmbH.

The products remain unchanged – the supplier changes

All SKC Gleittechnik products will remain unchanged and will continue to be manufactured in the usual quality and design. DIAMANT Polymer GmbH will be responsible for the entire portfolio of production, quality control, further development, sales, delivery and customer service in future. “DIAMANT stands for quality, innovation and reliability. Even with the new structure, it is important to us to ensure clear responsibilities and long-term stability for our customers. We look forward to continuing on this path together and in a new structure,” says Carsten Kunde, Managing Director at DIAMANT. The products can be purchased from the company based in Mönchengladbach.
