How does dichtol work in 3D printing?

The low-viscosity sealant utilizes capillary action to penetrate deeply into the finest pores and leaks in the component. After curing, it leaves a durable plastic structure that reliably closes the pores and effectively seals the component.

How does dichtol work in the foundry industry?

Due to the casting process, castings always have a certain residual porosity and sometimes also micro-cracks. With the sealing tightness of DIAMANT, the tightness of the castings is optimized without the need for a vacuum or machines for the application.

Targeted optimization of surfaces and components

Post-treatment of castings with dichtol increases the density and thus the quality and functionality of the component. All this is possible without the need for complex machinery or vacuum, thanks to the capillary activity of the dichtol sealer.

How does dichtol work in thermal spraying?

Thanks to its low viscosity, the sealer penetrates deeply into the open pores by capillary action – without the need for additional pressure or vacuum. After application, dichtol cures and forms a stable polymer structure that reliably seals the pores. This reduces gas and liquid permeability, increases corrosion resistance and extends the service life of the coating.

dichtol has been continuously developed for over 15 years to cover new applications. Today, the range includes more than 50 variants. The sealants can be flexibly adapted, for example for special requirements such as long processing times in tropical climates.

Drinking water approval for dichtol WFT

The certificate, which was issued by the Hygiene Institute of the Ruhr, proves that the material meets the requirements for the promotion of microbacterial growth in accordance with DIN 16421 from a microbiological point of view. In other words, dichtol WFT can come into contact with drinking water without any problems or consequences.
