dichtol AM Makro is a ready-to-use 1-component impregnation system based on a special polymer formulation. Thanks to its versatile application options (brushing, spraying, injecting, dipping), dichtol AM Makro enables the reliable impregnation of leaking components. With dichtol AM Makro, large pores (from 0.1 to 0.5 mm) can be sealed. This enables high pressure tightness, even with difficult object structures. In the case of locally known leaks, the selective impregnation ensures efficient use of material. The direct application on site also eliminates long waiting and delivery times.

Storage / Shelf life
Store in the original, unopened container in a dry, cool and frost-free place (+5°C to +30°C). Shelf life 5 years.
Processing / Preparation
Dirt residues, foreign bodies, grease and other substances must be completely removed from the pores to be sealed. We recommend the use of DIAMANT Cleaner #1417 for this purpose.
Application
The object or application temperature should not exceed +40°C, otherwise the penetration of the polymer cannot be 100% guaranteed.
Brushing & spraying
Apply a thin coat of dichtol in 4 steps at intervals of approx. 1 minute and keep the surface moist for at least 5 minutes. This allows dichtol to penetrate deep into the pores
Injecting & filling
Inject dichtol into the area to be sealed (e.g. blind hole, threaded hole, cooling channel, etc.) and leave to work for at least 5 minutes. Then, if necessary, siphon off/pour off excess material.
Immersion
Completely immerse the component to be treated in dichtol. After a reaction time of approx. 10 minutes, the component can be removed from the container.
Curing
dichtol AM Makro dries physically in a few hours (approx. 1 hour per mm of wall thickness) and the fast drying of dichtol means that the components can be used again after a short time. See table “Technical data”.
