SKC 3

SKC 3 is a two-component, trowel-applicable anti-friction coating based on high-quality epoxy resins, specifically developed for applications subject to high mechanical loads. Thanks to its formulation with functional fillers, the material offers an optimal combination of strength, dimensional stability, and wear resistance.

The sliding coating is primarily used for coating and restoring guides and sliding surfaces on machines—particularly in machine tool manufacturing, heavy machinery construction, and industrial precision applications.

Compared to other SKC types, SKC 3 focuses on maximum load-bearing capacity:

Very high dynamic surface load up to approx. 15 N/mm²
High wear resistance for long service life
Good damping properties for smooth machine operation
Low coefficient of friction (< 0.10) to prevent stick-slip effects
Application is typically performed using a trowel technique, which allows even complex geometries to be reproduced cost-effectively. At the same time, the material allows for precise adaptation of the sliding surfaces and contributes to improved machine performance.
